Oxygen Digital have partnered with an innovative scale-up who use data & technology to match people to the right jobs and help them land their next career move. Due to growth, we’ve been commissioned to find a Team Lead for their Data Warehouse and BI function.
The team you’ll be working on is made up of 8. You’ll be working alongside 4 data analysts and you’ll be leading 3 data warehouse engineers, adding a further 2 engineers and 1 student in 2022. Furthermore, the plan is to double the BI team within 2022, as well as split the team up into multiple, more-refined teams/squads.
The ideal profile:
- A team lead who ideally has experience in leading a team of 2-3 people for 1-2 years.
- Skilled in the following technologies: Python (must), SQL (must), AWS (desirable), Airflow (desirable).
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling & architecture are essential.
- Experience in hiring, supervising and mentoring engineers (desirable).
- Prior experience working in a start-up environment (preferable).
- Location preference: Berlin > Germany > EU > Worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute towards the company’s growth by leading the development & scaling of the data warehouse and BI infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other engineering managers in devising the architecture and improvements for R&D.
- Plan & deliver on quarterly objectives together with the team and collaboration with other stakeholders including product managers, analysts and engineers.
- Steer diverse initiatives in the team whilst delegating & coaching for growth purposes.
- Hire, train, mentor and supervise reports and the lead the professional growth of employees.
The role pays up to €100,000 (depending on experience) and offers remote working as displayed above.
