My Client is currently looking for a MLOps Engineer to work for our customer who is a Clean-Tech Scale-Up working in the Energy sector based in Amsterdam. Over the past 4 years they have been building AI-based forecasting and optimisation services for energy companies that help their clients transition towards a Green Energy future. They are currently now looking an individual to join their MLOps team to help productionise machine learning models that forecast electricity production and consumption.

We are looking for people that have the following:

  • BSc Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional software engineering environment.
  • Knowledge with the Python ML ecosystem.
  • Experience designing, building and maintaining the MLOps infrastructure.

As a MLOps engineer you will be serving ML models that forecast electricity production and consumption across the short-term power markets. You will be working on distributed infrastructure for training and model persistence. As well as being involved in data ingestion from both internal and external sources with data validation work.

With 20 employees at present they are aiming to nearly double in size over the next 6 months. Normally (outside of COVID) they are sat in some really cool offices in North Amsterdam, have a great culture and can give people the chance to work with the latest ML technologies and build a platform that really has a major impact in the renewable energy sector. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to lay the foundations of how an already highly successful business innovates for the future and to scale a team around you.
